The concept of Caféx was tailored specifically to cater to an ever-booming business sector in Egypt. Caféx has everything you need to start/develop your café or restaurant. From Consultants, designers & furniture suppliers to equipment & food & beverage supplies. Caféx is not just a trade fair with suppliers presenting their products & services; it is a place for education as well.

The Caféx Forum holds Lectures/Seminars/Workshops of issues & topics related to the industry tackling issues like food safety & hygiene, industry restrictions & regulations also success stories of established entrepreneurs & advise on the right way to start your business.

Caféx is also home to the Egyptian Barista Championship where Egypt’s best baristas compete for a chance to win the title of Best Barista in Egypt.

In 2019 EME launched HOTELIER EGYPT alongside Cafex unraveling

Caféx & Hotelier is Egypt’s Ultimate Hospitality Expo, featuring more than 120 key exhibitors covering the full spectrum of the Hospitality industry under one roof.  After the immensely successful 1st session of Hotlelier launched in 2019 merged with Caféx adding the Hotel & Resorts line to the equation, Caféx & Hotelier is now on it’s way to become the leading fair in the hospitality industry.

Cafex & Hotelier 2019

Building on the success of Caféx over the past five years; EME is launching a concurrent trade fair titled “HOTELIER” as the ultimate hospitality expo. Egypt has always been a touristic destination and a reliable source of contract furniture, interiors, equipment & F&B for the region. Having Caféx & HOTELIER simultaneously provides the full exhibit range for the supply chain of the Horeca industry.

Al Guezira Plaza Events & Activations (September 2017 – January 2018)

EME organized the grand opening – Halloween themed event & the christmas special event for Al Guezira Plaza which is new mixed-use development in Sheikh Zayed City as well as handling the venue’s entertainment.

The Egyptian Barista Championship (2014 – present) An EME brand

The EBC was created/developed/managed by EME in association with industry experts.

The EBC’s first session was launched as an activation in Cafex 2014 “The hub of the café & restaurant industry in Egypt”, becoming the first official national barista competition. Baristas all around Egypt competed for the first time to earn the title “Best Barista in Egypt”. The competition presented the industry the hidden talents of the country’s best baristas and has been going strong & constantly evolving since then.

  • Venue: Cafex Trade Fair,
  • Cycle: Annual,
  • Duration: 2 Days,
  • Participants: 12 – 15 finalists,
  • Judges: 4 sensory – 2 technical.

All finalists are given certificates of participation with their position. 1st , 2nd , 3rd places receive trophies – cash prizes – Sponsor prizes. 1st place winner is crowned as the ‘Best Barista in Egypt’
